| The Stormwater Program's Graphic Support Section was approached by the City's Los Angeles River Ad Hoc Committee to design a curb marker for catch basins within proximity of the Los Angeles River in an effort to raise awareness for the nearby waterway. The marker shows the Los Angeles County Heron symbol in addition to the L.A.M.C. municipal code prohibiting discharge into the storm drain system.
Numerous designs and revisions were made with input from both the community and stakeholders with a projected application date of late 2004. |
